COURSE DESCRIPTION

Instructional modules have been designed and field-tested by experts in fundraising and adult learning.
FAO graduates will use their training to benefit client organizations utilizing a range of services that are faster, more flexible and more cost effective than ever before. Upon successful completion of the FAO curriculum, graduates will receive a certificate as a Certified Fundraising Consultant and be eligible for acceptance into a free three (3) month in the field online mentorship program with fundraising experts.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
After completing the course, students will be able to:

Identify the essential elements needed to establish a firm foundation for nonprofit organizations before starting to raise funds.

Identify different sources of giving and distinguish the differences.

Increase students’ understanding the significance of the board of directors and volunteers.

Identify successful strategies used in attracting, winning, and keeping prospective donors

MENTORING PROGRAM
Upon the completion of the six-week Fundraising Fundamentals Course the students will gain access to the Academy’s free three-month in the field online mentoring program. The students will have access to a workbook and PowerPoint presentation called Planning A Successful Fundraising Campaign. Within the workbook, the students will have access to the Operations Manual that contains a number of forms for planning, written communications, contractual agreements, reports, etc. If students need further assistance, they can call to speak to a knowledgeable representative to advise them on specific fundraising issues.

The workbook will provide the knowledge and tools to:
-Plan a successful fundraising campaign.

-Become knowledgeable of the purpose and use of the campaigning tools.

-Gain knowledge of essential campaigning skills.
